Just screened THE FORBIDDEN KINGDOM.
Holy Christ, this may be one of the best movies I've ever seen... for Asian movie geeks.
Oh wait, I am one!
Imagine watching The Last Action Hero, but instead of the kid entering the world of every single L.A. cop movie he enters a world of EVERY SINGLE SHAW BROTHERS MOVIE.
Then add Jackie Chan reprising his role as The Drunken Master, Jet Li as The Monkey King, Wolf Devil Woman (The Bride With White Hair), and Golden Swallow (Come Drink With Me).
Pure geek nirvana.
I really want to watch it again just to count the number of movies being paid homage to.
I am dead serious when I say this is now one of my favorite movies of all time.
